Save. We did a side trip from Annecy to Chamonix to go up the Aiguille du Midi last spring and used blablabus. It was great. With a car you can easily drive to Annecy and spend a day. The town is gorgeous. we spent 4 nights there, really just soaking up the ambience. A day gives you plenty of time to stroll the tiny central scenic area around.
